This is a flexible course which is suited to meet learners needs for English and Maths.  These English lessons are well prepared and designed to help you improve your practical English skills.  Your progress will be reviewed by your course tutor regularly and feedback will be given to you during tutorials. When you have completed the course you can progress onto the next level of Functional skills.

This course is for leaners who want to gain equivalent requirements as the GCSEs or are preparing the apply for access courses.  The course duration is one year.  Once you are ready there will be the opportunity to take a test for a nationally recognised functional skills qualification from Entry 1 to Level 2.  This qualification is nationally recognised by colleges, universities, and employers as same as GCSES.
